Crafts For Fair Exchange (CFFE) is our 4–year economic justice and empowerment (action research) initiative. It is a functioning “alternative (model) to capitalist business as usual. CFFE links the products of skilled grassroots craftspeople, artists, dressmakers and tailors in Africa to S.E.E.D.S. growing network of US–based Black community activists, institutions and entrepreneurs. Through this “network” African producers not only connect with African purchasers, but resources actually circulate among African communities. Also, at least half of every sale is dedicated to socially-beneficial uses.
